Nishel and Ian’s wedding

Montogomerie Suite at Bannatynes Hotel was the venue for Nishel and Ian’s wedding, the new hall made a great setting for the Hindu ceremony .

The whole day went like clockwork with Mark the general manager and Monica the sales and Events Co-ordinator making sure all the guests had a wonderful and memorable day.

Hindu weddings take place inside a canopy called a mandap.
The bride is painted in elaborate mendhi or henna designs covering her hands and feet before the ceremonies begin.
The ceremonies honour the couple’s love and ensure the success of thmarriage by invoking the blessings of various deities and joining the families in celebration.

In the afternoon we all congregated at a beautiful Catholic church in Hastings for the second civil service.

Here are a few of my favourite images of the day.

Thanks a lot for the pictures Mike – they look fantastic and you’ve captured the day extremely well especially the colours in the Hindu ceremony and church. Simply brilliant.
    Take care Ian
